You know what else was a “good idea”? Spiderman 3. What did that teach us? The sum of all parts is not always equal to the components. In both cases they had everything they needed to make something spectacular, but the result was something that was just “good enough” and at some points hardly very good at all.
I commend them for trying, and ultimately they accomplished something nobody else has done before. I hope season 2 is more cohesive.
